As a trained mechatronics engineer I gained practical experience in the production of individual parts and assemblies before studying precision engineering (B.Eng/2012).
Milling, turning, drilling, soldering and gluing has been part of my work just as the assembly and adjustment of optical and mechanical assemblies.
As a design engineer with 13 years of professional experience these skills and knowledge has been particularely useful to me in order to create technically feasible and easy-to-implement designs.

I gained most of my design experience in a small company that manufactures optical inspection and measurement equipment and maritime technologies according to customer requirements and is dedicated to the reconstruction of large astronomical devices. My range of tasks included everything from simple workstations and automated inspection equipment to sheet metal constructions, marine sensors and steel construction.
This is including the development and creation of sketches and feasibility studies, CAD design and the creation of drawings, parts lists, assembly instructions and the supervision of the assembly of the manufactured device.
During this work, I completed my Master´s degree in Production Engineering and Production Management for the Department of Mechanical Engineering from 2015 to 2017 while working.

I have been self-employed since 2024 and I am interested in new tasks and areas of work.
